Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told RIA Novosti that the draft security guarantees for Kyiv confirm the urgent need for Ukraine’s operations, noting that the document on security guarantees for Ukraine indicates Kyiv’s continued orientation towards NATO and poses a threat to Russia.

Yesterday, the office of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky published a draft security guarantee for Ukraine, noting that “the EU countries, the United States of America, Great Britain, Australia and Turkey will be the guarantors of Kyiv’s demands.”

The text of the document stated: “Security guarantees must be confirmed and clearly formulated and will define a number of obligations of the group of guarantors to Ukraine.” It also states that “the document should be binding on the basis of bilateral agreements and united in a joint strategic partnership document called the Kyiv Security Treaty.”
