The White House, in a statement, announced that it had agreed to provide Ukraine with additional $600 million in military assistance, explaining that “this assistance includes equipment and services in addition to military training.”

In turn, the US Department of Defense (Pentagon) indicated that “the new assistance will include, in particular, missiles for high-precision HIMARS launchers that Washington previously provided to Kyiv, in addition to missiles. The package also includes anti-artillery radars, armored vehicles, anti-drone systems, and mine-clearing equipment.

And last week, US Chief of Staff General Mark Milley reiterated that Atakams missiles are capable of hitting targets inside Russia from Ukraine, and therefore Washington fears that supplying them to Kyiv will lead to an escalation of the conflict.
