The British government will publish an updated version of its comprehensive Security, Defense and Foreign Policy Review, which will focus on countering threats from Russia and China, British Prime Minister Lisa Truss’s office said.

“In order to ensure that the British diplomatic, defense and defense architecture keeps up with the growing threat from hostile states, the Prime Minister has ordered an update of the Comprehensive Review,” he said in a statement, noting that “the previous Defense and Security Doctrine in London has been published in March 2021, before the start of the Russian special operation in Ukraine.”

“The updated strategy ensures that we invest in the capacity and strategic alliances we need to withstand strong pressure from authoritarian powers such as Russia and China,” the Prime Minister’s Office said in a statement. Prime Minister for Foreign and Defense Policy John Pugh.

“By properly investing in defence, the Prime Minister ensures that the UK maintains its position as a leading security player in Europe so that we are prepared to defend peace, prosperity and freedom around the world. Just like we did it in Ukraine,” he said.
