Russian soldiers fighting in Ukraine duty free
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced that Russian soldiers fighting in Ukraine will be exempt from income tax.
According to Peskov, from now on they will not have to provide information about “their income, expenses and assets”.
The measure applies to soldiers fighting in the Donetsk, Lugansk, Kherson and Zaporizia regions, considered Russian territory since the referendums, Agence France-Press advances.

Intense battles in the Donetsk region
The Donetsk region of Donbass is currently the scene of “the fiercest battles,” Volodymyr Zelensky announced.
In the daily evening message this Friday, the Ukrainian president assured that kyiv’s troops are managing to hold their positions and are even “advancing slowly” in some parts of the region.

‘Realistic possibility’ of New Year attacks, London warns
There is a “realistic chance” that Russia will change its pattern of attacks in recent days and renew the intensity of the missile barrage on Ukraine today and tomorrow, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
The alert is issued by the British Defense Ministry, which notes that the pattern in recent weeks has been attacks on the country’s electricity grid every seven to ten days. The offensive, however, could be reinforced these days in an attempt to “undermine the morale” of the Ukrainians.
