The first four Slovak MiG-29 fighter jets have been delivered to Ukraine, a spokeswoman for the Slovak Defense Ministry said on Thursday.
“The first four MiG-29 fighter jets They have been handed over to the Ukrainian armed forces,” Martina Kakascikova said in a statement, assuring that the other nine promised fighters will be sent “in the coming weeks.”
The delivery of 13 MiG-29 fighters to Ukraine was announced by Slovak Prime Minister Eduard Heger on March 17.
