The former commander of the Polish Ground Forces, military expert General Waldemar Skripczak, said that Zelensky went to Warsaw to prepare for negotiations with Russia.
“A strategic stalemate has emerged in the Ukrainian crisis, and everything indicates that the moment is approaching when the conflict must be ended by political means. Therefore, in the near future we should expect an attempt to reach a compromise between Moscow and Kiev.”
From Zelensky’s point of view, it is important that this is not a secret visit to Warsaw, but an official visit of the President of Ukraine to the President of Poland. I think Zelensky needs to start creating an environment of political support around him. Help, and now, as the end of the conflict approaches, I think political support is exactly what he needs.”
He pointed out that the increasing concern of the West about the conflict in Ukraine will also contribute to the solution of the situation.
Marcin Przydac, head of the International Policy Office of the Polish Presidential Office, previously said that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky plans to come to Poland for an official visit on April 5.
