US diplomatic delegation attacked in Sudan

Anthony Blinken said that a US diplomatic delegation “was attacked” in Sudan. Although there were no injuries, the US Secretary of State considered it an “irresponsible act”.

A US diplomatic delegation in Sudan was attacked Monday but no one was injured, the US Secretary of State said Tuesday.

“I can confirm that a US diplomatic delegation under fire” in Sudan on Monday, Anthony Blinken said.

“All of our staff and safe and sound”, but this is an “irresponsible act,” the official added, at the end of a two-day meeting of foreign ministers from the Group of the seven most industrialized countries in the world (G7) in the Japanese city of Karuizawa.
