A preliminary police investigation reveals that an altercation between two groups, Monday night, was the cause of the shooting in the city of Hollywood, in South Florida, which left nine injured.
Several victims were transported to a children’s hospital, police spokeswoman Deanna Bettineschi said.
Among the victims are six adults and three children.revealed Yanet Obarrio Sánchez, spokeswoman for the health group Memorial Healthcare System, noting that the victims are in stable condition.
According to preliminary investigation, one person has been arrested and another suspect is wanted by the authorities, revealed to the police. The CBS television channel had initially announced the arrest of five people.
The shooting took place around 6:30 p.m. local time (11:30 p.m. in Lisbon), on a sidewalk next to a convenience store, an ice cream parlor and a restaurant.

Hollywood Beach is a popular beach destination, 32 kilometers from Miami, and it was expected that the local would receive more visitors than usual on the occasion of Memorial Day, a holiday that honors the North American military who died in combat, assassinated in Monday.
