“A terror movie.” They find the body of a missing girl for nine years inside a false wall

He is buried in the attic where he lived with her. The ex-boyfriend of a 22-year-old girl confessed that he killed Sibora Gagani in 2014. The police found a body inside a coffin inserted into a false wall.

Sibora Gagani, a young woman of Albanian and Italian nationality, had been missing since 2014. She had last been seen in Torremolinos, in the Spanish city of Malaga, where she lived with her 45-year-old partner, Marco R. de specialized and violent. crime belonging to the police of Spain carried out searches in the apartment where he lived and they found a scene typical of a “horror movie”, as the neighbors describe it: destroying a false wall, they saw a coffin containing a sleeping bag — and had indicated that the girl’s body had been there for nine years.

According to the newspaper El Paísthe false wall was built by Marco R., the ex-partner who confessed to committing the crime after being arrested by the authorities on May 27 on suspicion of having murdered his last partner, Paula, also in the town of Torremolinos. “She is buried in the attic where I lived with her”he confessed to the police.

After the body was found, police contacted Sibola Gagani’s family in Italy to see if they would authorize DNA testing. Even without this procedure, the authorities are convinced that the corpse is that of the young woman. “The evidence suggests that it is Sibora”, said Amaya Martínez, head of the gender violence unit of the autonomous government of Malaga.

It was Marco R.’s confession that triggered the raids. Authorities used an X-ray system and focused on a room in the house where there appeared to be alterations in the construction of a wall, after comparing it with a similar house. The special unit of the Spanish police destroyed this false wall and found a wooden coffin, that essentially had lime in it.

However, there was also a knife with dried blood, a bouquet of flowers and a sleeping bag — and it was inside this last object that there was a corpse wrapped in a plastic bag. The authorities took him out and transferred him to the Legal Medicine Institute to carry out an autopsy, as well as to identify the body.

The current tenant of the house, David, told El Español that the false wall “was very well done” and that “no problem was noticed”, indicating that he only noticed that there was a change when he compared his house with that of his neighbors. .

According to El País, Sibora Gagani moved to Malaga in 2011 and disappeared without a trace on July 7, 2014, shortly after ending the sentimental relationship she had with her then-boyfriend. Her family, who lives in Italy, had been unaware of her wall for years and tried to find her through the SOS Disappeared association, which in the meantime has already withdrawn resources to search for the young woman.

The alleged murderer Marco R. told, however, a different version from that of Sibora Gagani’s family: the young woman had left the town of Torremolinos and had he left all his belongings in the apartment where he lived. Guarantor didn’t know where his former partner was either.
