The Popular Party increases its advantage over the PSOE and, according to the latest survey, it could form a majority with VOX. Feijóo, with leadership in the center, takes votes away from the Socialists.
Five years after the dismissal of Mariano Rajoy, the Popular Party is getting closer to governing Spain again. The latest survey carried out in the neighboring country, released on Friday night, shows an increase in the intention to vote for the PP, mainly as a result of a transfer of votes from the PSOE, which seems to be losing ground.
Thus, according to the Sigma Dos survey, for the newspaper El Mundo, the PP will be able to obtain, in the early elections on July 23, 34.4% of the votes, electing from 140 to 143 deputies. The president of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, managed to stabilize the campaign, reversing the slight decrease in the intention of popular vote that had been registered in the last opinion polls.
With a rise of 0.4% compared to the last Sigma Dos survey, the PP increases its advantage over the PSOE, which accounts for 28.2% of voting intentions (0.2% less than last week). With this result, the PSOE would elect between 102 and 105 deputies, less than the 120 it currently has.
