Riyadh denies massacre of Ethiopian migrants on the border with Yemen and accuses armed groups

Saudi Arabia on Thursday denied a report released Monday by the non-governmental organization Human Rights Watch (HRW), which accuses Saudi border guards of shooting dead hundreds of Ethiopian migrants on the border with Yemen.

In the denial, published by the official Saudi news agency SPA, Riyadh blames the alleged “armed groups”whom he did not identify, for carrying out these acts.

An anonymous official source quoted by SPA denied the information contained in the HRW report, calling it “unfounded and based on unreliable sources,” saying the post was disclosed in the context of “malicious campaigns social media for suspicious purposes and purposes”.
