Attacking the Gaza Strip with an atomic bomb “is a possibility,” says the Israeli minister. Netanyahu suspended him

Regarding the sending of humanitarian aid, the Minister of Heritage said that Israel “would not deliver humanitarian aid to the Nazis” and that “there are no civilians outside Gaza.” Netanyahu suspended him.

The question was asked by the journalist and the member of the Israeli government responded affirmatively. The question ‘Should an atomic bomb be dropped on the Gaza Strip?’ Minister Amihai Eliyahu (of the far-right Otzma Yehudit party) responded that “It’s one of the possibilities”. The statements were made during an interview with Radio Kol Berama.

When asked about the future of the Palestinian people, Eliyahu (who is not part of the Israeli security cabinet that makes decisions in times of war) responded that “it can go to Ireland or the deserts,” adding that “The monsters of Gaza must find a solution for themselves.”

Regarding the sending of humanitarian aid to civilians, the minister said that Israel “would not provide humanitarian aid to the Nazis,” arguing that “there are no civilians outside Gaza.”

The Prime Minister of Israel reacted on social networks: “Minister Amihai Eliyahu’s statements are not based on reality. Israel and the IDF operate in accordance with the highest standards of international law to avoid harming innocent people. We will continue to do so until our victory,” wrote Benjamin Netanyahu who, after the controversial statements, suspended the Minister of Heritage from his duties, according to Sky News.

This is not the first time Amihai Eliyahu has been involved in controversy. Recently, faced with images of destruction following the Israeli attacks, He stated that “northern Gaza is more beautiful than ever,” which generated outrage on social networks.

Before that, in August, the Heritage Minister argued that Israel should annex the West Bank territories.
