This is an important achievement because it could open the door to an attack front towards Crimea: the Ukrainian army has consolidated its position on the left bank of the Dnieper River, in the Kherson region, Kiev says.
The information came yesterday through the voice of the Ukrainian president’s chief of staff in the group of experts American Hudson Institute: “Against all odds, Ukrainian defense forces gained a foothold on the left bank [leste] of the Dnipro River,” said Andry Yermak.
The statements of this senior Kiev official, who is on a working visit together with the Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Economy in the United States, were later published on Volodymyr Zelensky’s official website.
