The Palace of Versailles in Paris, France, has been evacuated due to a judicial operation taking place there, French authorities announced in a post on the social network X (formerly Twitter). French police advised against traveling to the site.
“An operation is underway at the Palace of Versailles. Security forces are on site. Please avoid the area and follow the instructions of the authorities. Do not spread false information,” the post reads.
A spokesman for the national police, quoted by the French daily France Bleu Paris, said that “this is not a terrorist attack” and that it was “a lack of respect between street vendors in front of the castle.”
