Elections in Mozambique: Frelimo wins gubernatorial elections in all provinces

In Sofala, Lourenço Bulha was elected governor with 414,664 votes (67.67%), in Manica he obtained 382,743 votes (76.29%), with Francisca Tomás as governor, while Pio Matos was elected in Zambézia, and Frelimo obtained 618,101 votes (71.70). %) and Domingos Viola will be governor of Tete, where his party obtained 751,109 votes (88.66%).

The data presented points to Eduardo Abdula as governor of Nampula, where Frelimo obtained 492,663 votes (59.11%); Valige Tauabo remains governor of Cabo Delgado, where the ruling party obtained 288,218 votes (33%) and in Niassa, Frelimo obtained 186,667 votes (72.18%), placing Elina Judite in the position of governor.

In Tete, Frelimo totaled 81 mandates (88.66%)Renamo three and MDM two mandates, and in Zambézia, the party in power obtained 83 mandates, Renamo 12 mandates and Podemos four.

In Nampula, Frelimo won 76 mandates, Podemos achieved its best result with 18 mandates, Renamo won eight and MDM one, while in Cabo Delgado, the ruling party won 72 mandates, Renamo seven, Pahumo five and MDM one.

In Niassa, the ruling party won 66 mandates, Renamo seven, RD six and MDM one mandate.

The CNE announced this Thursday the victory of Daniel Chapo (Frelimo) in the election for President of the Republic, with 70.67% of the votesresults that still require validation by the Constitutional Council.

Venâncio Mondlane, supported by Podemos, came in second place, with 20.32%, totaling 1,412,517 votes.

In third place in the presidential elections was Ossufo Momade, president of Renamo, until now the largest opposition party, with 403,591 votes (5.81%), followed by Lutero Simango, president of the MDM, with 223,066 votes (3.21 %).
