Mohammed bin Hamad Al-Ramahi stated that “Muscat and Tehran seek to develop the Hengham oil field in concession area No. 8 located in Musandam Governorate on the maritime borders between the Sultanate of Oman and the Islamic Republic of Iran ”, and mentioned that“ The two countries have agreed to develop the field, which should have a common path. Oman’s Energy Minister commented on the memorandums of understanding signed by the Sultanate with the Iranian side, saying “they are related to the development of two gas pipeline projects linking the two countries and the field. of Hengam oil, and had then the Iranian side.
