Manar Maabad, founder of the Menez Clean Solar Fruit Drying Project, pointed out that “a woman can walk to work at 7 am and return home at 11 am in only four hours, after which she can easily follow her home and family, with the guarantee of a very good income for her.
The project, launched in 2012, aims to produce healthy dried fruit food that can be stored for a longer period without spoiling outside the refrigerator, while retaining its natural ingredients and health benefits, without the use of preservatives or additives to add flavor, color and smell. It also provides very suitable employment opportunities for women, especially in the villages.
Manar confirmed, “The idea came to her 12 years ago when she saw her grandchildren eating unhealthy food and she saw how some countries supply dried fruit without sugar and preservatives, and after researching the topic, she learned that there is a German company. who is doing training in India on drying the energy of the solar system, which prompted her to go there where she spent three weeks studying the process as well as learning other things related to agriculture and its waste management.
