The support of 60 euros created to help the most vulnerable families to face the increase of two prices and two food benefits will be prolonged for the next quarter. It will help a thousand families that benefit from the social rate of electricity or minimum social benefits.
The reissue of the measure will be approved by the Council of Ministers this fifth-fair and will be in force for three months, announced by the Prime Minister, António Costa, not the first general policy debate of the Government in this legislature, this fourth-fair.
Support of 60 euros paid this sixth-fair to more than 280 thousand families
Costa was questioned by the Chega leader, André Ventura, about what measures the Government had to face up to inflation. “Amanhã, or the Council of Ministers will approve that the extraordinary measure of support for the head of food will be in force for more than three months, please, with more than 60 euros to be paid to families that benefit from the social rate of electricity and all the beneficiaries of the minimum benefits”, replied the prime minister, adding later that as it will return to abranger about a thousand families.
The support — a one-time payment, not a value of 60 euros — began to be paid in April for the families benefiting from the social electricity rate, about 762 thousand. But families without electricity contracts in their name were excluded, because the Government opted to extend or support the beneficiaries of minimum social benefits that are not covered by the social rate.
Esse elongation chegou to more than 280 thousand families and included benefits such as the solidarity supplement for the elderly (CSI), or social income of insertion (RSI), to social pension of invalidity of the special regime of protection in invalidity, to social pension of velhice, or social subsidy of unemployment or or complement of social provision for inclusion, among others. Therefore, it will be close to a thousand families that will again receive aid of 60 euros.
