Lidl plans to invest 200 million euros in Portugal in 2022

Lidl plans to invest 200 million euros in Portugal in 2022, of which 125 million are intended for intervention in the store network, as reported by the German retail chain on Thursday.

In a statement, the company said it remains “deeply committed to Portugal, where, since 2017, it has invested around €1 billion“.

Thus, during this year, Lidl intends to invest around 200 million euros in Portugal, of which 125 million are allocated for intervention in some 25 storessuch as remodeling, modernization and six new openings.

The distribution chain has been present in Portugal for 27 yearswhere you currently have a network of more than 269 stores, four warehouses (Santo Tirso, Palmela, Sintra and Torres Novas) and more than 8,200 workers.
