The representative of China Three Gorges Brasil Energia in the General and Supervisory Council of EDP, Li Li, resigned from her position in this electrical organization, according to a statement sent to the Securities Market Commission (CMVM).
Thus, EDP informs “the market and the general public that, on this date, the representative of China Three Gorges Brasil Energia Ltda. in the General and Supervisory Council of EDP, Ms. Li Li has tendered her resignation from her post.”
The General and Supervisory Council of EDP is “the body that supervises and permanently supervises the activity of the company’s management, collaborating with the Executive Board of Directors and with the other corporate bodies and bodies in pursuit of the corporate interest, in the terms provided for in the applicable legislation and in the corporate bylaws, being elected by the shareholders at the General Meeting”, according to information on the company’s website.
It is made up of 16 members, most of them independent, and the current mandate (2021-2023) lasts for three years.
