In the week from September 5 to 11, the average prices at gas stations were 3.7 cents above the average weekly price determined by the ERSE and 3.1 cents below diesel.
Thus, according to information from the Weekly Report on Supervision of Retail Prices, published this Monday by the Energy Services Regulatory Authority (ERSE) “in relation to the previous week, it was found that the average of Retail Prices announced in porticoes, and reported in the Balcão Único da Energia, was 3.7 cents/l above the Efficient Price for that week, in the case of simple gasoline 95 and 3.1 cents/l below in the case of diesel simple”.
At the same time, “In percentage terms, plain 95 gasoline was advertised on the porticos 2.1% above the Efficient Price and plain diesel was advertised 1.6% below the Efficient Price”the regulator highlighted.
The efficient price “is an average weekly price determined by the ERSE and results from the sum of the following components: fuel prices in the international reference markets and the respective maritime freight, primary logistics, including in this part the strategic reserves and of security of the National Oil System, the cost overruns with the incorporation of biofuels and the retail component plus the respective taxes”, according to ERSE.
The entity highlighted that, “still in relation to the previous week”, with regard to reduced prices, which are average prices published by the General Directorate of Energy and Geology (DGEG), “Simple gasoline 95 presented a deviation of – 1.6% compared to the Efficient Price and simple diesel – 5.7%”.
According to ERSE, “in absolute terms, these estimates are – 2.8 cents/l for simple 95 gasoline, and – 10.5 cents/l for simple diesel, below the respective Efficient Prices”.
According to the data published by the regulator, for this week (from September 12 to 18), “the Efficient Price before taxes is 0.945 Euro/l for simple gasoline 95 and 1.236 Euro/l for simple diesel”, “After taxes, the Efficient Price is 1,725 Euro/l and 1,930 Euro/l, for simple gasoline 95 and simple diesel, respectively”.
