The General State Budgets for 2023 will be debated in general in the October 26 and 27with the final global vote on the diploma of the Government’s proposal scheduled for November 25.
Those dates were set this Wednesday at a conference of leaders and advanced by the socialist Maria da Luz Rosinha, in statements to journalists at the Assembly of the Republic, in Lisbon.
On October 10, the Government will deliver to Parliament the proposal for the General State Budget for 2023 (OE2023).
According to the parliamentary calendar to which Lusa has had access, the two usual hearings prior to the discussion in general take place on October 21 in the afternoon, after the plenary session, with the Minister of State and Finance, Fernando Medina, and on October 24 with the Minister of Labour, Solidarity and Social Security, Ana Mendes Godinho.
The evaluation of the committee in the specialty begins on October 28, beginning with the hearing of the Court of Accounts, followed that day and the following by various ministers and other entities.
On November 11, the final hearing of the Minister of Finance takes place at 3:00 p.m. and at 6:00 p.m. the deadline for the parties to submit proposals to modify the Government diploma ends.
THE discussion of the document in the specialty in plenary session begins on November 21 runs throughout the week.
The calendar for this Wednesday, agreed upon at a conference of leaders, foresees that the final wording of the document will be fixed in December 14th.
Only after that the proposal can be sent for consideration by the President of the Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa.
This is the second budget proposal presented by the XXIII Constitutional Government, after the legislative elections in early January in which the PS obtained an absolute majority.
