Coins still tried a proposal that also included the PS, but the promise of the IMT even failed

After the socialists presented an alternative proposal to the IMT exemption for the youth of the currency executive (and BE also proposed an amendment to this proposal), the mayor of Lisbon still worked on an alternative proposal that sought to bring together the best of two: or rather, three — worlds: maintained the IMT exemption for young people up to 35 years of age who bought a house in Lisbon for up to 250 thousand euros; he created a municipal lease subsidy and also secured an extension of the scope of the proposal [de subsídio] university students without housing solutions in Lisbon. The PS councilors maintained the leadership of the IMT exemption proposal, condemning Moedas’ electoral banner to failure, and had the alternative proposal and respective reform approved by the Left Bloc. After seeing the proposal rejected, the executive even ended up abstaining from voting on the PS and BE proposals, which led the PS to consider the 3-in-1 proposal as a “small trick to try to create a political fact, which they did not even take seriously themselves.
