Poll. Most Portuguese believe that the TAP administration should go

The latest episodes related to the Government are not to the liking of the Portuguese and the case of Alexandra Reis, who received compensation of half a million euros from TAP, is the most expressive. This discontent is reflected in the responses to the survey carried out by Correio da Manhã and Jornal de Negócios: 74.5% of the people who responded to the survey believe that the former Secretary of State for Finance should return the 500,000 euros.

And as for the current administration, there are even more Portuguese who consider that this executive should present his resignation – they are 77%, in total. If this step is not taken, almost 74%, equivalent to three quarters, suggest that the Government remove the airline’s management. And the majority (56.1%) admit that the case of Alexandra Reis is one of the main reasons that contributed to the construction of a negative image of the Government.

Continuing with the majorities, more than 60% of those surveyed by Intercampus say they agree with the privatization of TAP.

As for those responsible for paying the former Secretary of State for Finance, 36.9% of Portuguese say that the political system in general is to blame, revealing “the widespread discontent with all parties and justifies the absence, despite the discontent with the Government, of a detachment on the part of the PSD.” Then, there are those who choose to share the blame: 32.9% of those who agreed to respond considered that the Government or António Costa were primarily responsible. And only 17.9% blamed the TAP administration.
