The National Emergency and Civil Protection Authority registered 129 incidents due to bad weather between 8:00 p.m. on Monday and 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, the majority in the districts of Viseu, Guarda, Coimbra, Braga and Porto.

“Since 8:00 p.m. on Monday, when the (bad weather) alert was issued, and 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, 129 incidents have been recorded, involving 438 operational assets and 188 land assets,” Commander Lusa told the operational. room of the National Emergency and Civil Protection Authority (ANEPC).

According to Elísio Pereira, the North and Center regions were the most affected by bad weather, with occurrences in the districts of Viseu, Guarda, Coimbra, Braga and Porto.

“By typology, the fall of trees was the occurrence that was registered in greater number, followed by the collapse of structures and some flooding, road cleaning and mass movements,” he said.

According to the commander, in the Viseu subregion, Dão and Lafões were withdrawn20 registered occurrences, in Beiras and Serra da Estrela 12, Alto Minho nine, Porto Metropolitan Area eight and Coimbra Region seven.

“All the other subregions have lower occurrence numbers. Regarding the maritime unrest, so far we have no record of any occurrence, ”he said.
