The Ministry of Finance says that “it will make the conclusions public as soon as possible” on the report of the General Inspectorate of Finance (IGF) on the compensation of 500,000 euros paid by TAP to Alexandra Reis and that “it will determine what is required to guarantee fully legality”. In this note, it is further explained that “IGF’s inspection activity is still ongoing, and is in a contradictory phase”. And only when this phase is completed “a final report will be drawn up and sent to the Government.”
This Saturday, the President of the Republic said that the Minister of Finance must consider the consequences of the conclusions of the General Inspectorate of Finance (IGF) on the compensation paid to the former Secretary of State Alexandra Reis. “If it was requested by the Finance Minister, the Finance Minister will have to weigh exactly the consequences of the report. This statement from the Ministry of Finance indicates that on December 27 Fernando Medina and the then Minister of Infrastructure and Housing, Pedro Nuno Santos, “determined that the IGF verify the legality of the compensation” to Alexandra Reis.
