Bank employees’ union negotiates review of agreement with Bank of Portugal

The National Union of Banking Staff and Technicians (SBQTB) has started negotiations with the Bank of Portugal to review the company agreement, according to a statement sent on Monday.

There are several issues on the table, including the Update of the amounts of the Permanent Home LoanHe Child benefit updatethe gratitude for the worker’s birthday, the Right to disconnection and stabilization of SAMS financing.

The SNQTB considers that “the Bank of Portugal, as a regulator, has a greater responsibility and must be guided by remuneration and other benchmark practices, not aligning itself with minimalist practices, clauses and procedures, unfortunately a practice that financial institutions have been trying to impose,” it said in a statement.

This union represents several workers and is present “at all the negotiating tables in the banking sector”, with the aim of “safeguarding and, whenever possible, increasing rights and salary/working conditions”.
