Galp’s profit increases 24% to 890 million euros in the first nine months of the year

Galp closed the first nine months of this year with a profit of 890 million euros, an increase of 24% compared to the same period in 2023, the oil company reported this Monday in a statement to the Securities Market Commission (CMVM).

In the same period, the group recorded an EBITDA (earnings before taxes, interest, amortization and depreciation) of 2,609 million euros, 8% less than in the same period last year.

According to the company, these results reflect “robust operating performance in the period,” particularly in the areas of upstream (exploration and production) and industrial and intermediate (transportation, storage and marketing), “despite a less favorable refining environment” and now excluding any contribution from the Coral Sul FLNG project in Area 4, in Mozambique.
