The adjusted average annual salary of full-time workers in the European Union had, in 2023, an interannual increase of 6.5% to 37,900 euros, with Portugal in 18th place, with 22,933 euros, Eurostat announced this Thursday.
According to data published by the EU statistics office, The highest average full-time adjusted annual salaries were recorded by Luxembourg (81,100 euros), followed by Denmark (67,600) and Ireland (58,700)..
At the opposite extreme, with the lowest salaries, are Bulgaria (13,500 euros), Hungary (16,900 euros) and Greece (17,000 euros).
Portugal ranks 18th among the 27 Member States with an adjusted average full-time annual salary of 22,933, up from 21,131 in 2022.
