Indian authorities have dropped a lawsuit against the son of Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan, who was arrested during a raid on a cruise ship off the coast of Mumbai last October, on suspicion of drug use.

On Friday, the Office of Drug Control said it had dropped the lawsuit against Aryan Khan, 24, and five others due to “insufficient evidence”, while charges against 14 others remained.
Khan’s attorney said his client’s detention after the cruise ship raid was unjustified, adding that he did not break any laws.
India’s National Court has repeatedly refused to release Aryan Khan on bail following his arrest. He has not been investigated.
He denounced the refusal of the Indian National Center to release his client on bail and continue his preventive detention; Based on the defendant’s lack of criminal record, and the crime he is charged with is not serious, he emphasizes that what is happening to the son of the international artist is nothing more than an attempt at defamation.
