Actor Johnny Depp made a strong statement after a jury found his ex-wife Amber Heard in his favor in a nationwide defamation lawsuit.
Depp said on his Instagram account that the false allegations of domestic violence had ruined his reputation and career, and thanked the jury for giving his life back.

Six years ago, my life changed forever, the lives of my children, the lives of the people closest to me, and the lives of those who supported and believed in me for many years. .
All in the blink of an eye.
Although no lawsuits have been filed against me, unfair, very serious and criminal cases have been brought by the media, resulting in an endless scattering of hate content. It toured the world twice in one nanosecond and had a seismic effect on my life and career.
Six years later, a jury gave me my life back. I am truly humble.
Knowing very well the height of the legal hurdles I would face in the inevitable global showdown of my life, my decision to proceed with this matter was made only after serious consideration.
From the very beginning, the aim of this case was to uncover the truth, whatever the consequences. Telling the truth is something I owe to my children and to everyone else who remains committed to supporting me. I felt the peace of knowing that I had finally made it.
