Comedian and CNN host W. Kamau Bell uses Father’s Day to encourage fathers around the world to fight for abortion and argues that the systematic killing of unborn children is a human right that benefits women and men.
In an abortion video called “Fathers’ Choice,” W. Kamau Bell encourages people to get abortions as a Father’s Day gift.
“Give him what he really needs on Father’s Day. It’s not a home brew kit. Not socks. Give her safe and legal access to her abortion,” he said.
Bell revealed that he spent $213 on contraceptives in his lifetime, and his wife, Melissa, $17,530.
“Dads, if you’ve had sex but don’t have children, birth control or abortion probably plays a role.”
Bell argues that most people who want abortion are already parents, and that abortion can save many families from debt.
“Dads throughout history have enjoyed our position on the sidelines by making fun of what happened, but we can’t afford that at this critical time,” he continued. “Abortion and bodily autonomy are human rights. And I’m here to invite fathers – and everyone else on the sidelines – into battle. ”
The video was created by Abortion Access Front, a Hollywood group dedicated to using comedy to “expose the anti-choice extremist forces working to lift the stigma of abortion and deny everyone access to reproductive rights,” according to the group’s official.
