Actress Jessica Alba says Marvel movies are ‘still a bit Caucasian’

Actress Jessica Alba, who has starred in a couple of sarcastic comics movies over the past decade, says Marvel superhero cinematics are still too white.

Alba played Sue Storm in two films based on the Marvel comics. Fantastic Four comic book. Although neither was well received, and both emerged before Marvel’s modern, more successful era, Alba said in 2005 that she felt superhero movies were too white. He also believes that for more than 15 years the situation has not improved much. His paternal grandparents were the children of Mexican immigrants.
Variation noted that the entire genus was “very Caucasoid.”

“Even when you watch Marvel movies – it’s the ultimate fantasy machine and what’s going on in entertainment right now because it’s kind of a family affair – it’s still pretty Caucasian,” he said. “I’d say I was one of the few in my time… And that was before Marvel was sold to Disney, but it’s still the same.”

Variation He added that Marvel is trying to diversify the movie universe. They introduced a black hero with actor Anthony Mackie as Captain America, not to mention adding the Black Panther universe to their offerings, pushing female superheroes like Captain Marvel Brie Larson. They also introduced several LGBTQ characters in movies and TV broadcasts.

But Alba says that’s not enough.

“I think more about young people growing up who will be our future leaders, it is important for them to see the world on screen or in stories, in the dreams we create as artists; it reflects the world they live in,” he said.

Alba’s attacks follow years of research, startups, and Hollywood politicians trying to boost their entertainment products.

For example, in 2015 a studio survey showed that 94% of senior executives are white.

Other research has shown that Hollywood is hopelessly “whitewashed” by giving specific roles to minorities.

Even in 2020, the news says Hollywood’s diversity policy has “failed.”

In the last few years, Hollywood has put a huge push towards diversity, requiring writers, actors, and producers to be a semi-minority.
