Pop star Britney Spears’ new memoir has been completed, but its release was delayed due to paper shortages. under the Biden administration.
Sources with direct knowledge of the situation told TMZ that the singer had recently completed an intimate memoir by Simon & Schuster to be published in January, but paper shortages hindered that plan.
Also, sources added that there is no clear date for when the paper shortage will be resolved, as the January release date has yet to be determined.
Earlier this year, Publishers Weekly reported that the publishing industry is facing supply chain problems and paper shortages as employees quit their paper mill jobs.
“In 2022, the industry will face more uncertainty, driven by inflation and rising costs, which lowers companies’ operating profits,” the report said.
Spears signed his intimate deal in February, which included an advance of $15 million. The pop star’s book deal is reportedly one of the biggest memoirs ever, second only to Obama, who signed a deal with Penguin Random House for more than $60 million.
Spears’ memoirs are eagerly awaited by fans wondering what has happened in the singer’s life over the past decade.
Late last year, the pop star celebrated the end of her apprenticeship that controlled her life and money for 13 years.
