In an interview with Radio “Sputnik”, the Russian doctor pointed out that birthmarks appear on the human body throughout his life, and most of them are benign. But some can be melanoma (skin cancer).
“A mole is the common name for a nevus, which is the accumulation of melanin. Most of these moles are benign and do not become malignant. However, you should pay attention and monitor moles throughout your life, ”he said.
He added that it is very important to monitor moles on the body, to discover any signs that they have become a malignant tumor.
He says: “The signs that indicate that a mole is becoming a malignant tumor are growth, expansion, change of shape, increased convexity in the skin, appearance of ulcers, and loss of hair in the surrounding area. place. Any of these signs should be noted, and require consultation with a doctor, who decided to remove it. If it turns out to be dangerous, and if a person ignores this sign, after a short time it can turn into melanoma (skin cancer).
