After “Suicide Squad” and “Fast X”, Daniela Melchior continues to make her way in Hollywood and now her participation in the cast of “Road House” has been confirmed.
The 25-year-old will be part of another great film project, this time produced by Amazon Prime. The film features Jake Gyllenhaal in the title role. and it will be a “remake” of the 1989 film, then starring Patrick Swayze.
Road House isn’t just a nod to fans of the original, it’s also a big, fun, highly rated movie,” Jennifer Salke, head of Amazon Studios, told Deadline. “We’re thrilled to be collaborating with Joel, Doug and this great cast led by Jake Gyllenhaal as they reimagine the classic MGM film.”
Dating back to the late 1980s, the original film was action-packed and featured James Dalton (Swayze) as a janitor and security guard at a bar with a history of corruption and unhealthy habits. Now him the realization will be in charge of Doug Liman. Names like Billy Magnussen, Lukas Gage or Gbemisola Ikumelo are also part of the cast.
At a time when she is recording the new “Furious Speed” saga in Portugal, Daniela Melchior is also linked to the productions of “Assassin Club”, “Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3” and “Marlowe”.
