Adriana is wanderer by nature. All her work is, in itself, a crossroads. From music to poetry, passing through the universe of children (as a composer and illustrator), the Mulher do Pau Brasil is not afraid of experimenting in various fields, getting tired of accumulating mistakes along the way. “To err in the sense that interests me the most is to take a risk,” she explains in a very specific interview, between São Paulo and Vila Real, one of the stops on the Portuguese tour.
His most recent work, which opens this Friday, March 31, is his last wandering manifestation. The adjective is in her name and she explains how she got there. She “she had a repertoire like she had never had before, with 18 previously unreleased songs saved. It is a pre-pandemic crop. At the end of 2021 we recorded all the songs, but over time some fell out naturally. A sieve was made and then I understood that the disc was wandering”.
It is both in musicality, as it is in the lyrics, a waste of sentimental resentment and heartbreak that seems to come from the same disappointment in love, if the composer had not revealed to us that the lyrics were written between 2016 and 2020 ”. I don’t remember exactly what situation I made them in anymore, ”he shoots in a breath coming from the clouds. “Even when I made the pandemic record [Só (2020)]I already had these songs.”
