Scientists have discovered a “golden egg” at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean

Scientists from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) have found a strange golden egg-like object off the coast of southern Alaska. And there is a hole, as if something came out of it.

The luminous ball was discovered during the study of an extinct underwater volcano. It was 3.1 kilometers deep.

Lifted from the bottom using remote control equipment. The texture of the “golden egg” is more like silk than iron, as it might seem at first. Another curiosity was the hole in the ball. “Something was trying to get in or out”– one of the researchers noted.

Some details about the strange find are still unknown. The sample is scheduled to be examined in the laboratory. But there are already assumptions. Some scientists do not rule out that this is an ancient shell.

Among other versions, the researchers came across the remains of a dead sea sponge. Source
