Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) will travel to Alabama to campaign for the House of Representatives. Mo Brooks (R-AL) in the US Senate.
Breitbart News has learned that Cruz and Brooks will attend an event at the Huntsville, Alabama City Hall at Four Points By Sheraton on Monday at 12:30 PT and answer questions from voters.
Brooks has been on the rise lately. Cygnal’s latest survey in Washington DC found that it correlates the statistic with Kathy Britt, former Alabama Business Council President and CEO.
Cruz supported Brooks in the U.S. Senate race last year to replace ousting Senator Richard Shelby (R-AL), whose term expires at the end of 2022.
In 2016, Brooks endorsed Cruz’s presidential bid and led efforts to put Cruz ahead of the GOP ticket in his home state.
Alabama Republican voters will choose who to vote in the U.S. Senate in November. Brooks will face off against Britt and US Army veteran Mike Durant in a career that Brooks came back to after former President Donald Trump withdrew his support for Brooks earlier this year.
If any candidate fails to pass the 50% threshold, a runoff will be held on June 22 to nominate the Republican candidate.
