Open this Monday, and until June 24, the applications for the draw of 24 affordable rental homes in various regions of the country. The leases are intended for permanent housing and include houses T1 to T4, in Lisbon, Setúbal, Évora, Beja, Guarda, Bragança and Santo Tirso.
The lease contracts have a duration of five years, renewable for successive periods of one year. In order for a household to request it, any of the members of legal age must have an income equal to or greater than the value of the social pension of the non-contributory regime (213.91 euros), with a limit of 35 thousand euros per year (in the case of housing with a single person), 45 thousand euros (two people) and more than five thousand euros per person (more than two people).
Also, the effort rate should be between 15% and 35%. All the requirements can be consulted on the program website.
The allocation of housing will be carried out by the Institute of Housing and Urban Rehabilitation (IHRU), as part of the “promotion of public responses for affordable rent”, according to a statement from the Ministry of Infrastructure and Housing.
The draw will be held on June 28 at 10:30 a.m. According to the ministry, “it is part of the set of measures underway to guarantee access to housing for families who do not have a response through the market.”
