“A majority tendency towards abuse is beginning to be seen”

These were the first parliamentary days of Paula Santos, successor to João Oliveira, as leader of the PCP caucus. And they ended, this Tuesday, in Palmela, with a bittersweet taste: the party announced proposals in the most varied fields to counteract the increase in the cost of living (almost all repeated or recovered from the General State Budgets) but, with the absolute most PS, the lead is almost correct. Nothing that makes the skinny communist caucus yield, assures the leader, even in the face of the “abuses” of the majority and the policies of “opening and privatization” of the PS, the “street, which is very strong”, will do the rest. the opposition.

The communist leader, who recently joined the Political Commission of the Central Committee (one of the most restricted organs of the PCP), guarantees that the PCP is really being the target of an attack operation because it is a party that “bothers” in the midst of a tendency towards the “single thought”. Particularly in Ukraine, where he insists on blaming the US and NATO – whom he calls responsible for continuing the war – and accuses Portugal of having a “follower” and “subordinate” position.
