Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will deliver a keynote speech at the defense industry’s largest conference later this month in Austin, Texas.
Zelensky’s keynote speech at the National Defense Industry Association’s (NDIA) annual Future Force Capabilities conference and exhibition will be delivered via video on September 21. This was reported by Reuters.
Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov, who will also meet with defense industry leaders, will also attend Zelensky.
The NDIA’s board includes people working for defense industry giants such as Raytheon, Lockheed Martin, Boeing and Northrop Grumman.
Although America is in recession and facing high inflation, President Joe Biden’s Department of Defense announced an additional $675 million arms package for Ukraine on Thursday. Since Russia invaded the country in February, the United States has provided more than $14 billion in aid to Ukraine.
Zelenskiy’s speech at the NDIA’s annual conference made his final public appearance as the leader of his war-torn country.
Most recently, Zelensky nearly spoke at the opening of the New York Stock Exchange on Tuesday, urging American companies to invest money in his country.
Zelensky and his wife also posed Fashion Magazine in July downplaying the impact of rising costs and gas prices.
“I’ll be honest and maybe not be too diplomatic: the gas isn’t there … just try to imagine what I’m talking about, what’s going on in your home, in your country,” said Zelensky. Fashion. “Are you still going to think about the price of gas or the price of electricity?”
