Russian Yekaterina Alexandrova began her participation in the French Open tennis tournament, played on the clay court of “Roland Garros”, with a difficult victory against her Belgian opponent Gretje Minin.
Alexandrova, 30th in the tournament rankings, needed an hour and 25 minutes to beat Gritti Minin, in two unanswered sets, by (7-5) and (6-3) in the match between them last Tuesday.
Ekaterina Alexandrova, 27, will have a date in the second round of the championship, along with Romanian Irina -Camelia Bego, who in turn defeated Italian Yasmine Paolini, in two sets to one, with details as follows: (4 -6 ) and (6-1)) and (7-6) in the match played between them on Tuesday as well.
While another Russian, Camila Rahimova, lost the championship, after beating Serbian Alexandra Krinich in two unanswered sets, (4-6) and (3-6) in the match that beat them today, Tuesday, in the first round.
