Belenenses beat Benfica 17-13 this Sunday, at the Estádio Universitário de Lisboa, and qualified for the Portuguese rugby cup final, which will be played on Saturday, against Agronomia.
The ‘blues’ will thus try to add the second trophy of the national rugby calendar to the title of national champions conquered last week, when they beat the right, 31-8, in the final played in Setúbal.
They will face Agronomy, which in the first semifinal, played a week ago, beat CDUP 32-19.
Restelo’s team is looking for the sixth Portuguese Cup in its history, while the ‘agronomists’, in case of victory, will add 11 trophies and surpass Benfica as the most regular club in the competition.
The final will take place on Saturday June 4, on a date and place to be specified by the Portuguese Rugby Federation.
