Red Bull Formula One team boss Christian Horner accused Mercedes of deliberately exaggerating the injury of British driver Lewis Hamilton in order to change the rules in their favor.

He added in response to a question about whether team drivers suffer from similar problems: “I will tell them to exaggerate as much as possible and talk about it on a private radio link that links the driver and the yard.”

When asked if Mercedes does this, he replied: “Of course it is true that there are some problems and this affects the operation of the car, but what is the simplest solution? Complain about security, but every team has its own options. the problem is related to the overall security of all commands, then it makes sense. But if it’s only for some riders or teams, then the team needs to fix it.”

Hamilton and colleague George Russell complained about the bumpy road to the track in Azerbaijan, and Hamilton announced that he was in pain due to vibration while driving on the track.
