“We even need different candidates for the presidency of the Republic. We need the participation of Lutero Simango, Daniel Chapo, Venâncio Mondlane and Ossufo Momade. We need the participation of your employees and followers. I want to take this opportunity to invite all of them, these four that I spoke about, the candidates, to accept my call for us to meet with the four of them, so that together we can evaluate this situation and find a solution. that benefits Mozambicans,” he said.
Nyusi insisted on asking “Calm”, until “the results are validated” by the Constitutional Councilbut he warned that it is the “sum of several wills” and not a “single” will.
“The country needs us all, our people need us. There is no problem that Mozambicans cannot solve. “All problems can be resolved through mutual understanding and seeking consensus,” he appealed.
He also said that it is necessary “a pacifying role” in the country and not “disorder”stating that the current scenario, of demonstrations, street barricades, looting of stores, forced strikes and other acts of violence, in this protest process, which degenerates into constant confrontations with the police, since October 21, represents an “attempt to attack against the State of Mozambique.”
“Against its sovereignty and territorial integrity. You can be sure that throughout this time we have never stopped working to reverse this situation (…) Calm and tranquility will be restored throughout the country, because we are working for it,” said the President of the Republic.
