The son of the Norwegian princess is accused of rape and assault. He was arrested on Monday night in a car with his ex-girlfriend, who had already filed complaints in August.
The young Marius Borg Høiby, son of the Norwegian princess Mette-Marit, was arrested again by the Norwegian police, who added a possible crime of rape to other accusations that are already pending in court, the Norwegian authorities reported this Tuesday.
“The police expanded the charges against Marius Borg Høiby. The accusation also includes a case of violation of article 291-B of the Penal Code for having sexual relations with someone who was unconscious or that for other reasons he would not be able to resist the act,” according to a statement from the Norwegian police.
Høiby, 27, was arrested on Monday night when he was in a car with his ex-girlfriend, the protagonist of the incident that marked the first arrest of the princess’s son, police authorities said.

Princess Mette-Marit’s son was detained for a few hours in early August after an incident at his ex-girlfriend’s apartment and was accused of causing injury, damage and threats, in a case that includes other people.

The police reported this Tuesday that this case against Høiby has been expanded to also include accusations of ill-treatment and violation of the ban on contact with his ex-girlfriend. Høiby is the result of a previous relationship with Princess Mette-Marit, now married to Crown Prince Haakon, and has no official commitments to the Royal House of Norway.
