Russian attack on the Ukrainian region of Sumy left eight dead and 12 injured

The drone attack on a residential building in the Sumy region left eight dead and 12 injured. Vlodomir Zelensky condemned the attack and revealed that one of the fatal victims was a child.

An attack with Russian drones left eight dead and 12 injured in the town of Hlúkhiv, Sumy region, in northeastern Ukraine, local authorities reported this Tuesday.

This is the second attack this week against the same region.

In the early hours of Monday, 11 people were victims of a missile that destroyed the residential building where they were staying.

On Monday, another Russian attack killed 10 people in the southern Ukrainian city of Odessa.

The President of Ukraine, Volodymir Zelensky, condemned the latest attack on Sumy through a message spread on social networks.

“Today there was a drone attack against Hlúji. An educational establishment was attacked. We now know that seven people died in this attack, including a child.“Zelensky wrote.

In the same message, the Ukrainian head of state once again called for international military assistance.

“Each attack by Russia only confirms the true intentions of [Vladimir] Putin“Zelensky wrote.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Army attacked an arsenal located in the Russian region of Bryansk, near the border, overnight, the Ukrainian General Staff reported in a statement.

The document adds that the attack targeted arsenal 1046 at the Bryansk Technical Supply Center and then caused “12 secondary explosions.”
