Trans-swimmer teammate Leah Thomas, who reversed swimming in college last season, said Thomas was “mentally ill”.

While the media congratulated Thomas for the interview, t. found that others did not find this interview commendable.

“And it’s very narcissistic to say, ‘Oh, well, I’m happy.’ And not even realizing what other girls might be feeling is selfish and disgusting,” she said.
“It proves that Leah is only interested in making Leah’s happiness more important than anyone else’s. That’s ridiculous,” the swimmer told UPenn.
Thomas reportedly wanted to try for the USA Olympic swimming team, but after graduating from the University of Pennsylvania, his college swimming career was just fine and over.
