José Mourinho, Roma manager, stressed that the key to his success is to never rest on his laurels and always strive for more.
The Portuguese coach ended his first season in Rome, in which he won the club’s first major title since 2008 and his fifth European title by winning the Europa League.
Asked in an interview with Forbes about the reason for his success after winning his first European medal 19 years ago, he said: “I try not to feel too much pressure at work. I think I have a healthy relationship with stress. something bad, as well as feeling too much. So it’s important to have a good balance as well as experience to counter that.”
Mourinho added: “I think the key to success is not to be content with what you have. When you win a few medals, you want more.”
“When you score a goal, you want to score more,” he said. “It’s all about ‘more’. It’s never enough. That feeling has nothing to do with age, it has to do with character.”
